Dear friends,
As many of you know, luatex 0.20.1 has just been released. I have already
discussed the relationship between aleph and luatex in
http://www.ntg.nl/pipermail/aleph/2007-August/000454.html
My immediate question: Is anyone out there still using aleph at all? In
particular, is anyone still using the otp/ocp mechanisms? Although I still
use otp's extensively, within a year I expect to have fully migrated from
otps. They are supported in luatex right now but it would be good to have
some idea how important they are fro present users, as development
continues. How much energy should the developers expend to maintain
backward compatibility?
Best wishes
Idris
