1. Fixup the math parameter error message, it could create crashes
   because of premature free().
2. Switch font internals to the MathVariant model (extension of extensible
   recipe); start interpreting MathConstants.MinConnectorOverlap; add the new
   primitive \Umathconnectoroverlapmin; read in and dump new "hor_variants"
   and "vert_variants" charinfo subtables from lua (oldstyle "extensible" is
   still read in, but no longer written); update the manual source.
