The key line for the .otf stuff is here: 
> TeXFont 1.8 - ConTeXt / PRAGMA ADE 2000-2003

It's way too old. The version (2.2.1+) in the current ConTeXt fixes some
OTF installation bugs with non-adobe fonts.
